Help shape the premier content for the National Association for Gifted Children's Annual Convention! We invite dedicated members and experts to volunteer as proposal reviewers for the NAGC26 Convention.

The success of our convention depends on securing high-quality, relevant sessions. By volunteering, you play a critical role in reviewing and scoring presentation proposals submitted across NAGC's 16 Networks.

Your Impact

  • Elevate the Convention: Review over 1,000 proposals alongside other volunteers to ensure the Annual Convention features the highest quality content in Gifted Education.
  • Contribute Expertise: Leverage your specialty, advanced knowledge, or expertise to select the most relevant and innovative content for educators, researchers, administrators, and advocates.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR PROSPECTIVE PRESENTERS: If you plan to submit a proposal for the NAGC26 Convention (the submission window opens in mid-December), please use the exact same email address for your reviewer sign-up as you will use for your proposal submission.

What to Expect

NAGC seeks active members (particularly practitioners, researchers, administrators, and advocates) to serve as proposal reviewers. If selected, you will be expected to review anywhere from 10 to 25 submissions over a short, two-week period.

Time Commitment: The review period typically takes place during the later part of January or early February each year. Each review takes an average of 15–20 minutes to complete.

Your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Adhere to strict deadlines within the two-week turnaround time.

  • Complete honest, thoughtful, and substantial reviews.

  • Provide comments for each proposal to justify your ratings.

  • Possess a specialty, advanced knowledge, or expertise in the Network selected to review.

What Happens Next?

Our team will select those who are the best fit to support the event and will get back to you on the next steps at the end of January. Shortly after this, you will receive an email from the Official Review Site system prompting you to log in and confirm your reviewer status. More detailed directions for the review process will follow.
